Jabberwock 2023: A Brighter Tomorrow: Educated and Elevated in Excellence - November 9, 2023 at 5 pm

Join the Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for Jabberwock 2023: A Brighter Tomorrow: Educated and Elevated in Excellence on December 9, 2023, 5:00 p.m. at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Henson Center. Tickets can be purchased here for $40.

The Jabberwocky was a mythical creature in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, so called because of the many components that were necessary to make him an unusual and fascinating creature. It was the custom of the Jabberwocky to call together the members of his kingdom once a year to present a colorful pageant.

The Jabberwock (a term copyrighted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority) is a traditional program of the Sorority that was conceived in 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts. The Jabberwock consists of a series of educational, cultural, and community service activities in which all contestants participate with the chapter members. Chapters nationwide use Jabberwock as a fund-raising activity to finance the many public services and scholarship services provided by Delta. In PAAC, proceeds from the Jabberwock help to provide educational awards to high school girls who plan to further their education after completing high school.
