Chapter History
Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter was chartered on May 5, 1979 under Soror Thelma T. Daley, our 16th National President and Soror Chapelle Arm-stead was Regional Director. The Charter members and elected officers were:

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The Sorority was founded in 1913 by 22 students at Howard University. These young women wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence; to provide scholarships; to provide support to the underserved; to educate and stimulate participation in the establishment of positive public policy; and to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in their communities. Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter
Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter consists of a unique body of professional women who share ideas and work cohesively to accomplish the goals and purpose of the sorority. Since the Chapter’s unpretentious yet proud beginnings, it has endeavored to make a social, educational, political and international impact on our society at large. Locally, Princess Anne Alumnae Chapter’s service area includes Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties in Maryland. In addition the chapter collaborates, supports, and participates with other organizations to work with our communities and meet our programmatic thrusts. (See Program Tab for more details).
